Imagine 24 super-neos walking around campus every Thursday, pari-day, with those shirts on and the general public believing what the shirts said. It's like some disagreeable stranger walking around with a shirt that says "I'm SKEEphistAKAte's Mama!!!". Would you not be disturbed? If I walked around with a T-Shirt that said some horrendous lie, I know a lot of people would be upset, and that is this case.

But if you know your history, then you have no reason to be upset. You know the truth about what the organization you pledged---that's all you have to be concerned about.

I am never bothered when I hear my relatives' claim (Mason/OES) to be the mother of Alpha Kappa Alpha. As far as *I* am concerned, that is Ethel Hedgeman Lyle.

I just ignore them and do *my* thing...but hey, that's just me.
Besides--what are you going to do? Rip their shirts off and demand a recant of their allegations?

OR all of those opposed can chalk it up to undergrad acting-silly-ness and move on.
