It's a "not too crowded" suburb with creeks and trees and some sense of a small town community that is only 20 miles from the city, where I work and can take advantage of the shows/sports/restaurants, etc. Yet, when I sit on my deck in my backyard, I feel I'm in the middle of nowhere, on a vacation, with the wild life, creek, flowering cherry trees, etc. It's the perfect combo for me!

That's like where I live now. I can be in Baltimore or Annapolis in 20 minutes and Washington, D.C. in 45 minutes but I live in a quiet neighborhood at the end of a peninsula where there's not much development going on. I pass two horse farms when I'm driving my daughters to school!
I never thought I'd end up living in the suburbs, but I did the obligatory stint in NYC in the years after college so I can say I've been there, done that and got the t shirt
