That's interesting about the reason why Phi Gam isn't called FIJI at Alabama. I had always wondered about that. The lady at one of the Greek stores in Tuscaloosa had to send back some keychains she had gotten for them that said FIJI because she didn't know beforehand that the guys wouldn't buy them. I never really understood why they don't go by FIJI at Alabama though.
In my sorority, we're not allowed to do *anything* in our letters that "might serve to damage the good name of the Sorority," whatever that means. But we're actually not allowed to do anything that might damage the Sorority's reputation when we're not wearing our letters, either. The only thing we are specifically forbidden from doing in our letters is drinking.
