I have had Lasik surgery and the best advice I could give someone is to find a GOOD optical surgeon. Do your research.
When I left the doctor's office after the procedure I could see fine and immediately had better than perfect vision (if that is possible!) I just had to wear some protective cover for a couple days and that was it. But the effects of the surgery are immediate. Doesn't hurt afterwards and the surgery is painless. I did not have any side affects.
I can't think of any negatives from the whole procedure. The best thing? You technically have better than perfect vision.
I have never heard of having "touch ups" My parents have had it for a couple years and I think all they have done is go in for normal checkups.
And JoininKC? Why would you need to wear contacts?
