I think a Hater is someone who disagrees with you strictly because they would have done the same thing that you did but you beat them to it or if they had whatever it is that you have, they would do what you do or wear what you wear or say what you say. Sad, but True.
But, like the word Thick, the word "Hate" has come to encompass many meanings so even pessimists and dissenters are lumped in with the Haters.
On a reverse note, there are people who were just created to be hated. It's just a fate with which some of us are cursed.
