peanutttu- Ive always been a big fan of the lyrics of Let Us Sing. I always thought that was a great way to sum up how seniors feel when they are graduating. Perhaps you can incorporate the lyrics in your note somehow. Also when I graduated my little diamond sister was really upset and when she dropped me off at the airport she was crying and I hugged her and told her "This is goodnight and not goodbye." To this day, every time either of us hear "Linger" we call the other. Thats another good phrase you could use.
I'm interested to see what our turn out will be. Every chapter, AA presence/support and city is obviously different. It always depends on when its held, if its a popular day (warm out, a game day, etc) attendance will be lower. We've had many instances where people RSVP and never show. A few years back we use to have A LOT of alumnae show up but lately there are a good number of active alumnae that are pregnant/starting families/getting married, etc that havent been showing up.
