Whenever excuse notes are brought up in Executive Council, anything school related is automatically excused.

When scheduling classes that fall at night, the member tries not to pick up a class that conflicts with chapter meeting time. Sometimes that's not always possible, though. I know that we've made special arrangements with members who couldn't do anything about changing class/tutor times, like meeting with chapter council/EC members at another time to keep informed of chapter business.

If a member wants to be a part of the chapter badly enough and otherwise attends events regularly, she shouldn't be penalized for missing chapter meetings because of a session she can't get out of.

If her EC is giving her a hard time about it, I'd try suggesting that she contact HQ to see if there's anything that can be done.
