I'm showing my age here, but I broke out my bill from first semester of my freshman year and tuition was $908.00 and room and board for a double in Holland Hall was $960.00.
Pennsylvania public schools seem to be pretty pricey, IMO. The University of Virginia is less than 8K in state, the University of Maryland is around $7,300 and the University of Delaware is around $6,600. I just picked these three schools to compare since they're near me.
