In theory, this should work....but then you've got jackass professors who base your entire grade on 3 tests....If you dont do too well on the first one, you're screwed for the rest of the class. Not only that, but for "participation" he takes away 2 points from your test grade if you skip a debate. (debates are only 1 class per week). He said his reason for doing this is that in previous semesters, extra credit for attending the debates didnt work, so now he's using negative reinforcement to get students to come to class. grrrrrr.
