Hi Kchaptergphib-

I graduated from WashU in 2001 so our paths may have crossed when you were investigating WashU.

Something interesting to know is that sororities at WashU have had the option for 5+ years to explore building chapter houses or to get housing together in the Village (formerly Small Group Housing). The sororities chose not to pursue these options because they are happy as non-residential chapters. It is a different type of sorority experience, but I think it can keep some members who might otherwise be overwhelmed by the drama of living with their sisters or feel isolated from their non-Greek friends.

My mom lived on the Alpha Phi floor in a sorority dorm as an Alpha Phi member at Arizona State in the early 70s and I grew up loving those stories. It would've been fun to have a sorority house but I have amazing memories from living with my non-Greek friends that I can't imagine changing!
