Anywho, to answer the question, it really set in for me that Santa wasn't real when was 8.
I had to help my mom set up things for Christmas morning for my brother who's 9 years younger than me. My mom and I ate the cookies that my brother set out for Santa, and we set up the presents to look like Santa had dropped off the gifts. I knew Santa wasn't real before then, but it was confirmed that Christmas.
