You’re getting some good advice here!! All I can say is that rush IS fake, and that during rush events you need to really think about where you are, what’s going on, and if it is only happening to make you want to be in that house. I was a pledge of a house this semester, and ended up depledging after about 4 weeks. I wanted to be in a different house, and I knew I would not be happy where I was in the future. Depledging was a hard decision, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Watch out for what is real and fake (trust me, you will know if you pay attention to detail) and trust your gut. If your gut says you belong in one house, then you do. Regardless of any mental anguish you might go through when picking a house.
