I'm sure many of you came from families that didn't live in the best neighborhood and didn't get to go to the best schools and didn't have the money to go to college....but you still found a way to make it happen. Why do you who make it happen, let those who won't make it happen for themselves make excuses? - And I have heard those words come out of more then one black person's mouth (but because I'm white - I'm sure that makes me racist because I said it)
Just because somebody hasn't "made it" doesn't mean that they aren't trying. We have a loing way to go. Period. It's not about making excuses. If there are REASONS that some things are the way they are, then that is hardly an "excuse."

This is not to call out your weakness, but merely to illustrate my point. I am reading your posts, and I am gritting my teeth, every time I see you write "oppertunity." Although you can't even spell it, I'm sure you have more opportunities than people who can spell it correctly, but look like me. THAT is what burns me up. People who look like you can be mediocre at best, and still have opportunities that our best and brightest won't even get a chance to apply for.
