Mid 80's to 90's - girls smoked Salems, VA Slims or Marlboro Lights.
Guys smoked regular Marlboros or Camels.
Trailer trash smoked Newports.
Incidentally - I smoke Parliaments now, and they're really not that much cheaper than Marlboros. Maybe that's a state to state thing.
