This just keeps getting better and better, Sarah! What on earth was she thinking?!?!
"My dad is a lawyer and he'll get me out of it anyway." Instead of getting her out of it, he should be taking her over his knee! If I ever heard my child talking about me like that...well, let's just say they wouldn't be able to sit down for a while.
If this is her first offense, she'll probably plead out and get some kind of community service and restitution. But her attitude about it is so blase, that I get the feeling she's done this before. So who knows what will happen. At the least they will charge her with larceny and credit-card fraud.
I would be very surprised if her membership isn't pulled after this. I wouldn't want a known felon---and an unrepentant one at that--around my chapter! It would reflect badly on everyone, and believe me, the word spreads fast.
