I don't recall EVER believing in Santa Claus. While I have seen photos I've taken with him (and being rather frightened by the look of them), my mother told me quite early in my life that it was our family that bought the gifts, not this Santa person. The gifts would go under the tree as they were purchased and wrapped, so it wasn't like there were no gifts under the tree until Christmas day--hence, no Santa. My kids will probably also be told that it is mommy and daddy who bring the gifts. I would pray that we will focus on getting just a few gifts to celebrate rather than a host of toys they will never use!
It seemed like the tooth fairy took a little longer. I think I found my baby teeth in my mother's jewlery box and I realized she was the culprit. I could never catch her putting coins under my pillow though!
