Wink TKE Houses

Frater,
Thanks for the kind words on the Delta Nu TKE house! Lots of hard work still continues with alumni fundraising and furnishing it. (I'm on the alumni fundraising committee which is a sub committee of the Board of Trustees. )

We opened it in fall of 99. TKE was the first fraternity on the NWMissouri campus to build a fraternity house specifically for a fraternity. Until then all the houses on campus were "Residential conversions." Sig Ep built a new house and opened it at the same time just across the street. SPE was only chartered in 81, so they didn't have quite as many alumni to draw donations from. TKE was chartered in 1954 so having 1300 alumni sure did help with fundraising.
The DN house sleeps 32 men. There is a suite type set up with two rooms sharing a bathroom. It is quite an improvement from the DN TKE house I lived in during the 80's.
The chapter has really seen an improvement since opening the house and they really have made a strong effort with athletics and GPA. The chapter decided on its own to make it a dry house
which has really helped. The quality of members is quite high and their campus involvement is top notch.
Having been a part of this building project I find it interesting to check out other TKE houses as well as those houses from other fraternities which are cool. I've often thought that someone should put together a web site with only TKE house pictures on it. Similar to "The Golden Book" of TKE which was published in the 1950's. It contained pictures of all the current TKE houses at the time. Also another site with interesting and cool houses from all fraternities and sororities would be nice.

As an involved alum of Delta Nu all their successes make me proud. Thanks again for all
the kind comments.

YITB,
DNTKE alum
