I was thinking that this am and came to this conclusion: we have to make films that ppl can relate to (Training Day, Hustle and Flow) so that they can get used to black folks making movies about other stuff that's more realistic from OUR point of view rather than THEIRS. Does that make sense? You have to do what's comfortable for the majority before you can show them your reality. That's my thoughts on it.
