The spring pledge classes are considerably smaller, and it's usually harder for the chaper to get to know them. Fall rush is extremely stressful inside and outside the house. Girls get competitive, we get "rush crushes", so its like a week long war between all the sororities. Fall bid day is a like a huge feeling of triumph and relief at the same time, and the new babies are almost like prizes. It's just not the same in the spring.

But that doesn't make it any less special for the women who recieve their bid in the spring
