It sounds like the reason
http://www.hotolympians.com/ was shut down was because athletes couldn't appear in advertisements.
I saw the site before it got shut down, and the only thing that I can see being advertised is their "hotness".
Other than that, whaaaaaa?!? I don't get their point.
