I am going to ignore one of the comments. (Didn't find it funny!)

I think you both make valid points. I think it is rare that someone who stood out in college reaqlly stood out in the NBA in their first year's of play. I hate the NBA (long explanation behind that....) but I do see where some of my favorite Duke players ended up or are doing.

I think my favorite thing about Duke basketball....Coach K emphasizes academics! His players (most of them!) leave school with great basketball skills and memories, along with a degree. I remember when Abdelnaby (showing my age here ) left Duke after they won the National Championships, Coach K. refused to hang the banners until he got his degree. IMHO, that is how it is supposed to be done!
