I didn't like the Darko pick from day one but have had a wait and see attitude with him up until this year. He had every opportunity to get into the playing rotation and couldn't. Luckily for them they were able to take a big gamble like this while having a good three year run at the title. Hopefully for his sake a change of scenery does him good. Brown has a history of messing with young players and it could have been that his confidence was shot.
That's true, I forgot when they acquired Sheed. It's interesting that they made the Darko pick with Brown as coach; as you said, his history with younger players isn't so great (which is funny when he has coached at UCLA and Kansas). Either way, the kid was a huge gamble, and they lost.

Now they have the cash to do long-term deals with their free agents this summer, and maybe that pick will turn into something.
