Engineering - Mewbourne School of Engineering at OU is one of the best in the country, and the petroleum engineering and energy management departments are probobly THE best. OSU's program is probobly pretty good, but it would be nothing without Boone Pickens,

US News and World Report begs to differ. Neither OU or OSU are in the top 49. There is also a link specifically to petroleum engineering and neither school is mentioned.
