When I went through rush, there were 4 national sororities and 1 (new) local. I went through formal rush, and while I was interested in joining a sorority, I wasn't sold on any of the nationals. I dropped out of rush, went to the local's informal rush the following week, and got a bid from them. And I'm glad I did.
So don't be afraid to follow your heart.
