wow...some of these dates are just horrible!
I have to say that mine isn't quite so bad...
when I started dating my current boyfriend, it was somewhat of a messy situation.
i met him through my boyfriend (who i broke up with shortly after, for reasons more than his friend). he (my current boy) had also recently "gotten out of" a messy relationship with his ex-girlfriend. i say that because she dumped him in late january, then strung him along for about 6 months, claiming that they were going to get back together, etc. all while dating someone new that she wasn't telling him about.
anyways, so we were on our third date. he had taken me out to dinner, but had plans to go see a movie with a group of his friends (including his ex-girlfriend) later that night. i had other plans that night, i wouldn't have been able to go to the movie. so, we're sitting at dinner, and he gets a call from his ex. apparently she's stranded at the bart station (she goes to school in berkeley, and we were living inland - about 30 minutes away) over the summer. so we had to leave the restaurant, drive to the bart station, pick up his bitchy ex-girlfriend, and then take her to the mall because she wanted to go shopping.
luckily, he's improved a lot since then

our best would probably have to be either one of our trips to disneyland our my birthday last year. he took me to san francisco, out to lunch at the cheesecake factory, and then took me to tiffany's where he bought me this beautiful pink sapphire ring.
. and then took me shopping in the city!
