I've bought quite a few things on ebay, and only got burned once, by
stephmnelson, who also goes by
bamfranger99. She was happy to take the money, but wouldn't send the goods. When I complained to ebay that she changed identities, I didn't get a satisfactory response.
My china pattern was discontinued literally the day after I bought the first few place settings, so I look for pieces there (I think I'm up to 10, but I need to do an inventory!).
I've also done my share of shopping for ADPi items - one special bargain was a dozen ADPi hats for $4 plus s/h. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them, but then our latest colony was asking for ADPi items, so I knew
exactly why I won that auction!
