In a rare move, police cited a Eugene fraternity for providing alcohol to two underage women, one of whom spent several days in the hospital recovering from a severe case of alcohol poisoning.
It's very unusual for police to cite an entity rather than a person, ...
Sgt. Mark Montes delivered the ticket Thursday to Theta Chi president Robert McEachern.
The fraternity is charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor and allowing minors to consume alcohol during a Dec. 1 party at its house at 1125 E. 19th Ave.
The University of Oregon banned alcohol from its fraternities in 2002.
