this is definately a risk management issue. risk management is not just throwing 'proper parties' and having noone die after frat parties at your house. It's about managing risk, such as alcohol and drugs, and how they affect your chapter and members. its about alcohol and drug education within a chapter and holding brothers and sisters accountable and looking out for one another.
i really hope that some of this kids brothers were trying to reach out to him and help him because a kid in his dorm knew he partied hard. i would hope his brothers could see it and would try to help him. the optimist in me knows they had to have been trying.
