Were any fighter jets up at that time? Brianna is going to go pull out her CNN Tribute DVD to find out, because I honestly don't remember.
I'm pretty sure (only like 50%) someone told me that they didn't have jets up at the time. I remember asking (and thinking) that once the planes turned around and they lost communications that they (the planes) should have been taken down. My brother, who is in the military, told me something along the lines that they couldn't get the jets up in time (which suprises me) and that the American public just wasn't ready for the American military to shoot down an American plane, which makes sense then, but we all know now that the moment a plane is "hijacked" that it will be shot down. So who knows.
Just thought I would ask and now I'm babbling because I'm tired.
