Thought I'd throw in my knowledge...
Even though the chapter just closed - the campus would have to decide if they're open to (re)colonization.
NPC says that first preference should be given to organizations that have previously had a chapter on campus - but ultimately the campus panhellenic/ local group ultimately makes the decision on what chapter to invite on campus/affiliate with depending on teh situation.
Also - Executive Office isn't the group that decides or makes policy for Alpha Delta Pi - decisions are made by our Grand Council (who are sisters volunteeering their time to ADPi elected at Grand Conventions) based on our bylaws which can be amended at a Grand Convention.
My suggestion would be to join an alumnae association. There are opportunities to be involved with local philanthropic projects or a Ronald McDonald House if it's close - and possibly holding an office or being a committee chair - or if you dont' quite think that's the right place for you - there have been some associations chartered by groups that call themselves "young" alumnae - it all depends on the geographic area and if there are enough sisters to keep a group going.
And to answer the question of can you still join an association even though you're still in college - with the closing of the chapter you are an alumna of ADPi, so yes you can join.
