I never recommend political correctness. But I do recommend precision with language when there is a reasonable chance that one might not be clearly understood. like on an Internet forum. And he made a comment on culture, which he meant. Anyone making a claim of racism needs to explain themselves, otherwise you sound like you're blaming the rape victim for how she dressed.
