Sounds like worse than a bummer, lifesaver.
Did you talk to the President of the chapter? It's HIS job to oversee the officers, and if HE doesn't care, then yeah, your fraternity's screwed.
If he DOES care, then he'll make it his business to throw some weight around. I hope to heck he'll squish the lethargic attitudes out of those brothers you don't like
Yeah, I've put up with junk like this. I was treasurer of my fraternity last year with a president who didn't give a fsck how much money we spent as long as he got his way. He would throw money at the next event we had before I could even count it. And he made contracts with companies without the fraternity's approval -- but since we had alumnus who liked him, we ended up paying through the nose to keep them happy instead of impeaching him.
Now, he's demanding more money to take care of stuff before he graduates -- and hmm, guess who's in charge of stopping him?
