The thing I was most excited about when I turned 18 (three years ago...jeez I'm getting old...) was no legal curfew. I don't know how the laws are where you live, but in Southern Illinois, those under age 18 had to be in before 12 on Friday and Saturday, and 11 on Sunday-Thursday. (NO exceptions-a friend of mine always got curfew tickets coming home from work when she had to close at Burger King-in her greasy stinkyness, they still did not believe her that she had not been out causing trouble. They always got dropped...our tax $$ at work...)
Granted, that was still my curfew from Mom and Dad, but at least I didn't get a $150 ticket on top of being grounded.
That was really my only reason for looking forward to Nov. 12, 1998-I don't smoke (and have NEVER purchased the garbage for anyone else, not even of-age people!) and don't gamble (Lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math). Hope you had fun!
