The images Eko saw in the black smoke were a boy (I think Walt but I can't get a clear screencap yet), Emma (the little girl from the tail section of the plane that was taken by the others), a church, the old man he killed, his brother dead, the Nigerian woman selling the statues, Jesus on a cross.

4. During the drug deal, the two men Eko killed were talking & Sayid's name was mentioned.

5. The promo's for next weeks episode look great! "This is OUR Island" was definitely creepy. Those Others are creepy mofo's.
1) I just rewatched the episode (I'm a VCR kinda girl)...how could you make out what was in the black smoke? Could you pause it and watch it frame by frame? I tried to slow it down enough but could see nothing.

4) You're right, in the drug deal scene, the younger drug dealer (who says all of 3 words) *DOES* say "Sayid"....good call!

5) In the Canadian "next week" promo, we did not get a "This is OUR island scene", instead it showed Jack and Locke talking about how Michael took the gun and is beyond reason and Locke is saying 'who are we to tell people what they can and can't do?"
Who says "This is OUR island". The passengers or the OTHERS?

Did they ever say what Eko's brother's name was? I wonder if it is Aaron? After all, Eko seemed really taken with that name when Claire told her that that was the name of her baby.

As for Eko, I think Eko that until this episode, that Eko was a "priest in name only", as he possessed the papers that his brother signed (under duress) ordaining Eko to be one. However, now that he knows (and has the physical proof of his brother's body) that his dealings caused his brother's death, I think he decided in the moment after cremating his brother to "embrace the priesthood for real", as it were.
