Sometimes the nicest people with the best intentions get married and a few years down the road the marriage just isn't working or one person falls in love with someone else. It's sad if it happens to you or your family or friends. It's not a national tragedy when it happens to celebrities you don't know and never will no matter how many times you watch their movies or tv shows.

I agree with everything you are saying. I think that people (women, because I don't see any guys who give a rat's ass) are invested in this particular situation because they think holy crap, if someone as gorgeous and successful and wonderful as Jennifer Aniston can have a husband who cheats on her (because they're assuming he did cheat on her) the same thing can totally happen to me because I'm ugly/fat/not successful/insecure for no good reason. Because Angelina is often viewed as a little weird, it's easy to villanize her and hold her up as being SO TERRIBLE and a HOMEWRECKER. Women like her freak out women who are insecure -- she's sexy and a little dangerous and SOMEONE JUST LIKE HER WILL STEAL YOUR HUSBAND IF YOU DON'T WATCH IT.
I don't know whether Brad cheated on Jen and I don't care, but I hate to see people trashing someone the way Angelina is being trashed. It's just like the thread where people are ripping on Lindsay Lohan -- seriously, if women weren't so judgmental of other women, we'd be much better off. And what motivates women to trash other women? Insecurity. Plain and simple.
