Welcome to the boards.

For COR, the best events are ones that integrate regular chapter goings-on with recruitment. This way, you don't overprogram the chapter. Talk to your MEVP about upcoming TME's. Perhaps a workshop that is non ritual/sorority related would be of special interest to the women on campus, and you can coordinate the presentation with the RA's so all campus women residents can attend. Wear letters and set up a sign-in that includes take away items containing your contact info-- IE Pens with your web site. Capture their information and invite the non-affiliated ones to dinner.

Another good COR: Invite women to your large philanthropy fundraisers or sorority service projects. This is a great way for them to see you in action, to get members to participate and to kill two birds with one stone.

Last-- at the end of each term, reward your prides with a Pride Picnic. Invite PNMs-- have a lunch, lawn games and silly prizes for sisters and groups of sisters who have excelled in the past term. Great way for PNMs to see your sisterhood and enjoy an afternoon together.

You can also give your prides authorization to invite PNMs to pride events and to offer bids once the RVP has verified the PNM's eligibility for membership. Pride Activities like dinner, study hours, TV night, going to the movies, etc., are a great way to sub COR.

Bottom Line-- what chapter events already occur that you can piggyback COR onto?

Small point of information. "The brothel law" is actually an urban legend. No such law exists, and has been debunked. www.snopes.com (Also, please indulge this pet peeve of mine: please refer to your officers with their correct titles. We do not have Alpha Moms in ADPi. This position is called New Member Coordinator or NMC.)

Again welcome to Greek Chat. This is a great information resource and a way to connect with ADPi sisters and other sorority women.
