My sister converted to Catholicism from Lutheranism to marry her husband because it was important to him they live as a Catholic family. While my dad wasn't overly enthusiastic about her decision, he respected it and she was happy with her choice. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision for her as our religion was a very important aspect of our lives growing up.

I never had to worry about dating someone outside my religion because 1. I didn't date much and 2. my husband is the same denomination of Lutheran as I. While I think it has definitely helped our relationship in the fact we have similar values and beliefs from having been taught the same things, I don't think I would have not dated someone outside my religion as long as they respected my beliefs.

Or possibly even a shindig or lollapalooza.
Perhaps it'll be a hootshinpaloozaree. I don't know.
