I initially thought that "Jews for Jesus" for people who are former jews that have converted to Christianity (in the sense that they now claim to be Christian). I didn't realize that they are people who still say they are Jewish, but yet believe that Jesus is the messiah. That doesn't make sense to me, but I need to read up on them to fully understand.
Since I brought it up, the people whom I know to be involved with either Jews for Jesus or call themselves Messianic Jews are people who were born and raised Jewish, and had a conversion to Christianity in their adult life. Having never been to their website, I'm not sure of further details, which is why I was asking some questions.

And you're right - that's a different thread!
