The thing is...there are quality christian-based channels and programming out there. There is TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) and all their affiliate channels, the Gospel Channel, I-Life Channel, the Family Channel, etc. Every last one of these channels have TV shows, movies, cartoon (for the kids), dramas, etc. I only know this because I work for a cable company and get everything for free. But before that, I would have NEVER known that this type of programming even existed. Why?
Unlike your NBA, ABC, and other analog channels (to where you don't even need to have cable in order to access) these channels are carried on some of the top tiers of digital cable so you basically have to purchase top level tiers of programing ($65 and up dependinig on your provider) to receive these and more than likely a whole bunch of other channels that you don't want. I mean if I actually paid to receive all of those channels, it would be about $85 a month!

I'm sorry, but that's just too much to pay for TV. lol
This is one reason why many people are pushing for al a carte cable.
Anyway, this is my favorite piece of the article...

"Daniel" supporters argue that the program’s message is about having compassion and learning to love all people. The arrogance of Hollywood constantly fascinates me. The very people who show contempt for religion at every opportunity now want to preach to Christians about the true meaning of Christianity. Hollywood’s real message is that those claiming to be Christians are hateful hypocrites that do not love all people, proof of which is in our rejection of the normalization of homosexuality and sexual promiscuity.

I hope this inspires more channels that do offer more programming similiar to those listed above. Although I don't think the al a carte programming will pass, it would be nice if it did.
