Yes Rudey, terrorism is still a threat. However, militant Islam will never gain popular ground in Indonesia. For that particular bombing, there are several theories being floated around by the media and analysts.

(1) Noordin M. Top and his irks were behind it. (Jemaah Islamiyah)
(2) SBY (the initial for the Indonesian president) is in a crusade against corruption. This might be done by one of the official that is currently being investigated by the KPK (the anti-corruption commission)
(3) Those who were involved in Poso have moved their operation to this city because Poso have been guarded very tightly by the military and the police.
(4) One of the victim was an intel officer and his wife, it could've been a hit.

I personally think it's Top and his irks. They're getting desperate as their funding is shrinking.
