Lemme tell you. . . I really like doing what I do (advisor at a community college) but it really takes a very special person to teach, and I know fa sho that I'm not one of those special people. I have parents that come in when their child has to take prep courses and of course blame the school for not teaching their child and not preparing them for college. Never have I heard a parent admit to not spending enough time with their child or supervising their homework or taking SOME responsibility for their child not reaching their peak.

I know teaching is hard work. I know teachers get tired, and I know that there are some that are in it for the "summers off and getting off at 2:45" and various other reasons.

I can't imagine reviewing information over and over and over and getting answers like this. I salute you and other teachers - past, present and future.
