It's a shame that people in this country don't still want freedom for its citizens. In case you didn't know, a person isn't a citizen of this country until he/she is born. Otherwise their is no official document for that fetus recognizing that it is a life. Therefore it is not granted any rights whatsoever. The mother gets to determine what is better for her and the fetus.

I still want to know what all these people who oppose abortion/birth control want to do to support these babies that will be born into poverty. They don't want to pay taxes to support them. Most people I know who oppose abortion look down on people on welfare, but many of these large lower-class families could be smaller if there wasn't such a stigma about abortion/birth control. The cycle will never end if people still make others feel bad for making decisions about their own bodies. If you want to live in a country where the government can control your uterus, go somewhere else. Freedom is what makes America so great, and lately there seems to be a huge movement to take freedoms away. Freedom of religion, etc. We may have been founded by Christians, but they were trying to get away from a country that was controlling them.

Like I said before, if someone gets an abortion, it doesn't affect you at all. Most of the time you wouldn't even know it had happened. Most people don't make the decisions lightly, either. I personally don't agree with it as a form of birth control, but there are definitely accidents and other extenuating circumstances. I honestly don't think anyone would know 100% what their decision would be about abortion until they are in a situation themselves. One of my neighbors (who is extremely pro-life) thought she might be pregnant at the age of 57. She had grandkids already. She confided in my mother that if she was indeed pregnant, she wouldn't have it. It would be unfair to herself, her family, and the child. She wasn't pregnant, but she now believes in freedom of choice.
