I am so angered by this statement. I guess it makes you feel good to think that everything is equal and race doesn't matter and you've never exeperienced any advantages based on your race or sex. You obviously don't get it. Your comments are racist, uninformed, and unintelligent.

I wouldn't call his comments racist. He is expressing a sentiment that even blacks have expressed. There is always individual blame as well as system blame approaches to be considered.

My only issue is when people fall too far on either side. Tom is way in left field and calling people whiners and self righteous. This is coming from a guy who routinely displays poor spelling and articulation skills on this board. If he does the same off the board, you can't tell me that privilege is not salient in the year 2005.
