Besides, it's hearsay anyway. Knowing the giver, however, it's easy for me to believe.
A big time network sports producer went to the retirement party of a long time crew member (cameraman, I think) and really shocked everyone by giving the retiree a brand new set of super high priced golf clubs.
It wasn't until he got home and looked closely that the guy noticed that each club was engraved as a gift from the company to the producer.
I suppose that's one way of getting rid of something you shouldn't have accepted in the first place.
