Because I know no discipline when it comes to food, I've decided to replace my usual lunches and dinners with Lean Cuisine meals (because, according to the labels, they're MUCH healthier than my usual choices and because they taste darn good!).
I'm hoping that this will make me more mindful of portion sizes and ingredient choices when I come off my cooking hiatus. I was delighted that my first Lean Cuisine lunch (roasted turkey with apples and cornbread dressing... mmmmm....) tasted great, but incredibly frustrated that I was still hungry after I finished. Now I make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day and with my meals, and the meals leave me satisfied.
Has anyone else gone on a kind of "pre-packaged meal" plan? What were the results? Were you able to translate these kinds of meals into your cooking?

i haven't tried a meal plan, but i often eat the lean cuisine for lunch and feel hungry after too. it will take a little while to get used to the smaller portions, but it gets better. you can also get a snack to eat afterwards.....yogurt, granola bar, fruit (the little fruit cups are good for snacks), etc. they can make an amazing difference! be sure to eat slow b/c it is easy to gulp those things down. it takes your body a little time to realize it has eaten, which means if you eat fast, you will still feel really hungry after you are done. take your time and then don't eat a snack for about 30-60 minutes after.
