Shoot. I'm still trying. I went down to RMH to offer my services with event planning and they have auxilary groups for Young Professionals. There are actually a lot of young professionals clubs out there with active groups for social and service.
I've always been interested but ended up rather lazy!
Junior League is a big committment but a good way to meet people. And you can always latch onto other alumni clubs. UCF didn't have much of a presence in Los Angeles (imagine that!) and I ended up befriending some U of Michigan grads-- they dragged me to all of their events and now I'm a big fan!!!
