damn i should have posted the pic. the auction closed. Anyway it was a sort of square shaped pin with about 16 pearls around it, with rubies on the 4 points. It had the greek letters for alpha sigma tau, under that an opne book, and above it 2 burning candles. The symbols bear striking resemblance to those our crest. Oh well, probably some other group.
