ESPN featured this on Outside the Lines the other day and I thought it was really interesting. I have to say I agree with McNabb and think Mondesire was out of line -- as did the two guests on the show, Warren Moon and John Smallwood.
McNabb is just trying to do his job as well as he can. What happens to quarterbacks who scramble all the time? They get hurt. I think he is trying to develop as a player and be as successful as he can while expanding his abilities and preserving his health. It's pretty lame that one dude is going to accuse him of selling out or breaching faith or belitting anyone because of decisions he's made about how he wants to play football -- it sounds to me like McNabb is facing a real struggle as a black athlete right now.
