I am not sure about NPHC Organizations are that way either, I will have to ask a friend of mine.
But, The NIC and PHC Organizations are Social Organizations-Not Their Majors.
Their Minors are not Charity.
It is a hand in glove thing along with making Grades to give a well rounded life. We are expected to participate in other School Organizations whether it be Socal, Educational, Physical, or Committees of each, not all at once.
Many like Myself as can be seen on GC are Members of Service Organizations and others. Time in College is precious and be spread around so much.
Please do not generalize as You have. It is unbecoming for the type of Organization that You profess.
