Nah, my father's assistant quit on him, so I got the chance to be a legal assistant during the day in the practice I was hoping to inherit (which all is going smoothly). My foot's in the door with the client base, I'm learning how to manage a law firm, I'm learning how to deal with clients, and I have an excellent rapport with the relevant judges and their staff.
I'm pretty well paid for what I do, and I get to spread all my study stuff out on the conference room table -- the free coffee has been of use as well
Basically, I'm going to be taking 3 classes a semester plus summer school. I'll be done in about 4 years.
It's a pretty enviable situation really
